SCAC Textiles Class members winning prizes at Penrith Show!
The following members entered the Penrith Show and have been recognised for their talent:
Francoise Matter - 1st in Patchwork, Quilting, Embroidery, Applique category
Barbara Watson - 1st in 80 years+ in Patchwork, Quilting, Embroidery, Applique category
Brigitte Siebert - Highly Commended in Knitted Stole.
Jan Fenton - Highly Commended in Crotchet 70 years+

Members Exhibition 2025
Calling all Tutors and class members!
Our annual exhibition is a members' exhibition and your time to shine but the show needs volunteers to ensure it's success.
The committee extends a big thank you to those members who have already volunteered their time.
However, we need more volunteers across the 3 show days, for set-up Wednesday 1st & Thursday 2nd, pack-down Monday 6th & Tuesday 7th, and finger foods for the Opening afternoon on Saturday 4th.
Each show day shift requires 4 people for success. Set-up and pack-down need 5 people per shift. Shifts are 2 hours long and there will be an experienced member at each shift to assist you so don't be afraid to volunteer even if you've never done something like this before. And honestly, it's not hard and it's lots of fun.
Perhaps you would like to contribute but can't manage a shift at the Centre; can you donate finger foods for the Saturday Opening event?
There are two rosters in the Centre's kitchen. One for food for The Opening Event and one for organisation of the rest of the show. Please add your name to a roster. Come along and meet the public that will admire and perhaps buy your works, and get to know other SCAC members at the same time.
