Paint a contemporary Landscape in oils or acrylics .

Suitable for beginners to more experiencd painters who love colour. Rose will supply a reference photo amd take you through step by step using acrylics and later oils, if you wish, to create a contemporary landscape. You will learn and practice blocking in, composition, balance , scale depth and atmospheric perspective.

You will learn when to use large or small brushes, colour theory .

Materials :

A canvas panel 51cm x 41cm or larger

A stick of white charcoal or white pastel pencil

A ruler.

Disposable palette

Jars to hole water and brushes and an extra if using oils

Acrylic and/or Oils: White, Black, Orange, Raw umber, Burnt Sienna, warm and cool yellow, warm and cool red

warm and cool blue, warm and cool green. Please bring artist quality paints for best results, no students or Mont Marte paints.

Brushes: Several chisel brushes - large, medium, 2 no.10's and several smaller .

Towels and baby wipes.

Rags if using oils.

Solvent: odourless solvent ( for oils) such as Gamsol. No turps
