About the Course
The Springwood Spinners and Weavers provides an opportunity for creative activities centered on Spinning and Weaving. The Group meets each Tuesday Morning througout the year . Members pay a small weekly payment to cover room use. costs . If you want to join this group you need to buy a yearly membership Subscription from the website. Interested? Vickii is the Convenor of the Spinners and Weavers Group. She is ably assisted by Robin, equipment officer; Brigitte, treasurer; Marion, librarian; Margaret, assistant treasurer and Cheryl, assistant librarian.
About the Spinners and Weavers Group
Springwood Spinners and Weavers meets every Tuesday at the Springwood Community Art Centre 9.30-1.30pm. Our group has been active for over four decades at the centre. We enjoy creating and sharing our love of fibre and textiles. At any meeting there are spinning wheels whirring away as beautiful yarns are created. Members also enjoy many fibre crafts such as weaving, knitting, crochet and hand dyeing of yarn or fibre. Encouragement and advice are freely shared by all and gratefully received as well.
Our group is primarily a social group and doesn't offer lessons for beginners. However, we can put new members in touch with ladies who can teach if required. We have a fabulous library and great equipment for our members to borrow. We also are a group member of the NSW Hand Weavers & Spinners Guild in order to be able to access workshops and courses.
