A stimulating way to start creating unique drawings; students will be shown strategies and creative processes for using a variety of materials and tools with which to create individual drawings. Participants will explore the expressive potentials of inks, charcoal and oil and dry pastels in combination with unusual tools and papers.
Through a series of guided drawing projects, each person will be encouraged to work loosely and quickly to develop expressive mark making which is then developed into more resolved images.
Composition, observation and drawing techniques will be incorporated into each class to act as a foundation for more expressive image making. This is a nine weeks course.
