About the Course
This workshop will cover printing, stenciling, collage, painting and drawing to create an artwork. Come along and have some fun while expanding your art knowledge. Please bring things on the materials list; whatever you have in your art stash or whatever you would like to work with. On the day feel free to use materials from Rose’s box of goodies.
YOU WILL LEARN how to create a unique mixed media artwork using the above techniques and materials based on design principles, colour theory and drawing techniques.
Please Bring:
250 GSM paper + drawing paper
Patterned/coloured paper for collage work
White large cardboard
2B drawing pencil
Coloured pencils
Oil pastels
Acrylic paints
Inks
Large paint brushes
An old paint brush for glue
Atelier Gel Medium or a good glue

Rose Gilbey
Judith’s areas of expertise include Patchwork, Applique, and Quilting; Pattern making, soft furnishings, fabric printing and dyeing and Embroidery (especially Counted Thread techniques). Originally trained in traditional techniques, Judith has explored a wide range of modern techniques, enjoys working with bright colours and is inspired by flora and traditional and cultural designs.
